
03 Aug Easy No-Bake Chocolate Slice
Tasty, chocolatey, addictive goodness. A perfect snack for adults and kids alike.
Base:
1 cup dates (soaked in boiling water for 10 minutes then drained well)
1/2 cup buckwheat flour (or buckwheat groats / almonds roughly ground)
1 cup coconut
1/3 cup cacao or cocoa powder
1 tsp vanilla
1 Tbsp coconut oil
pinch salt
Icing:
1 cup cashews, almonds or coconut
3 Tbsp cacao or cocoa powder
3 Tbsp coconut oil (room temperature)
pinch salt
2 Tbsp maple syrup
Instructions:
- Base: Grind buckwheat groats/almonds if needed, otherwise use buckwheat flour. Combine all base ingredients in food processor and blend for 1 minute until the mixture comes together. Add a bit of water if needed. Tip into a lined tray and press evenly. Chill in the freezer while making the icing.
- Icing: Clean food processor then add nuts or coconut and blend until fine. Add remaining ingredients and blend until an icing consistency is created. Spoon onto the base and spread evenly.
- Chill for a few hours to set. Cut into squares and store in an airtight container in the fridge.
